We’ll work with your agency and plan the switch around your existing payroll dates and cut-offs.
Once everything is in place, we’ll take over your payroll and keep you informed about what you’re being paid and when.
Sapphire is employee-owned, meaning when the business does well, the people who make it possible share in it – including our contractors.
Every year, we distribute a profit-share bonus to contractors who have been with us for more than a year. This year, we surpassed over £1m paid directly to longstanding umbrella contractors who helped build what we have.
paid directly to contractors since 2021
No, your pay won’t be disrupted when you switch to Sapphire. The switching process is designed to protect your pay, with no gap in earnings and no missed paydays.
Sapphire maps your pay cycle from the start, checking timesheet, approval and payroll cut-off dates before you move. If onboarding can’t be completed before a payroll cut-off, Sapphire won’t move you in that pay period. That keeps your income steady throughout the switch.
Switching to Sapphire is quick, and Sapphire coordinates the transition directly with your recruitment agency so you don’t have to manage it yourself. Most onboarding happens within a few days.
The exact timeline depends on your pay cycle and when your details are confirmed. Sapphire works to your payroll timetable to make sure the move fits cleanly around your paydays, rather than rushing you in before your records are ready.
Very little. Sapphire handles the transition directly with your agency, so most of the work is done for you. You’ll complete a short online onboarding process, or speak to one of our team if you’d prefer, and provide a few personal details to get set up.
You can register online at your own pace or ask questions first. Support is available by phone, email and WhatsApp throughout, so you’re never left guessing about the next step.
Your pension is handled as part of onboarding, so nothing gets missed during the switch. Sapphire discusses your pension setup directly with you when you join, making sure your contributions are set up correctly from the start.
If you have questions about how your pension carries across or what your options are, Sapphire’s team can talk you through it before you go live.
No, there’s no cost to switch. In fact, contractors moving to Sapphire receive two weeks of free service, giving you time to settle in without pressure. This lets you experience Sapphire’s payroll and support first-hand before committing fully.
Sapphire gives you a single point of support throughout the move, so you always know where to go. You can reach the team by phone, email or WhatsApp, whichever suits your working day best.
After you go live, Sapphire runs a 30-day post-live assurance review, including proactive checks and dedicated contractor support. That means any questions are picked up early and sorted quickly, not left to build up.
