At Sapphire, we recognise the impact businesses can have on the environment and we are committed to becoming a net zero company by 2030. We’ve joined Zellar’s sustainability platform to help us measure our current sustainability performance and create a plan with tangible actions to deliver on our sustainability commitments.

We have implemented energy efficiency measures throughout our modern office to improve our lighting and heating outputs and have invested in woodland projects and sustainable forestry to offset the energy we do use.

As part of our commitment to a better world, we are also proud to support a growing number of local and national charities.

Christmas Shoebox Appeal is back!

Sapphire’s sponsorship of Mottram Cricket Club – An interview with Club President, Liam Wright

The majority of Sapphire’s sponsorship is concentrated into the junior section, ensuring that young kids in the local area don’t miss out. By doing so, Mottram Cricket Club is able to bring youngsters into the club and give them a focus. Throughout the summer, many of the youngsters will be playing two to three games a week, in addition to practicing on a Friday night where we often get 60-70 juniors attending. Giving young people this kind of focus not only helps teach them the game, but also a range of life skills and disciplines that can have a lasting impact on them.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge completed

Mental health is something that, directly or indirectly, will likely affect us all over the course of our lives and we believe that everyone should be able to receive the help and support they deserve. At Sapphire, mental health is something that is constantly on our mind. In August this year, the team at Sapphire once again tackled the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge in aid of raising money for the mental health charity Mind. This hike is approximately 25 miles with an elevation of around 5200ft, however we managed to complete the walk in 10 hours and raised over £1,350 in the process!

Empowering Young Athletes

At Sapphire, we firmly believe in empowering young athletes and the potential that youth sports hold to shape not only athletic skills but also character, teamwork, and determination. Our sponsorship was more than just financial support; it was an investment in these young talents and a testament to the significance of community backing. Sapphire’s role in this journey is a reminder that when we invest in the dreams of young athletes, we’re not just supporting a team – we’re encouraging a legacy of determination and excellence.

Sapphire take on the Three Peaks Challenge

The famous hike is approximately 25 miles with an elevation of around 5200ft! The reason we set out to complete this massive challenge is to raise money for a fantastic local charity, Seashell Trust. The Seashell Trust is a charity for children with learning and sensory difficulties. All the money raised will be life-changing for those in need as the funds will go towards various equipment and things that can make a real difference to improve the lives of young people and children. With a target of £2,000, we are delighted to have raised £1,473 so far.
