Sapphire has launched its Payroll Transparency Portal, a secure, read-only portal that gives recruitment agencies independent reporting and a clear audit trail showing what has been reported to HMRC and what has been paid, without the usual month-end chasing.
Designed to support agencies and MSPs ahead of April 2026, the portal brings key payroll evidence into one place, making it easier to respond quickly when a client, auditor or compliance review asks for verification.
The portal provides access to downloadable records, including P32 liabilities, RTI submission confirmation with HMRC acknowledgement, proof of cleared HMRC payments, and payslips by tax month. Alongside portal access, Sapphire also provides monthly PAYE payment confirmation to support agency records.
The launch comes as expectations increase across the supply chain for structured digital records and faster access to evidence. The JSL rules increase supply-chain risk for agencies and MSPs, making documented due diligence and audit trails important to mitigate potential recovery of tax by HMRC. Sapphire’s new portal is designed to help agencies meet that expectation in a practical, repeatable way.
“With compliance, the problem is rarely intent. It’s retrieval,” said James Shaw, Operations Director at Sapphire. “When an agency is asked to evidence what has been paid to HMRC, they need facts they can access instantly, not reassurance. The Payroll Transparency Portal is built to put that evidence trail at their fingertips, reduce admin, and make due diligence easier to maintain month after month.”
The Sapphire Payroll Transparency Portal is powered by My Digital and is available now.
Agencies can book a walkthrough to see the evidence trail and how the portal is used in practice.
